Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist in strategic business development projects and analyze market trends
• Contribute to business strategy development for HPE’s Innovation Program Office
• Conduct primary and secondary research, market research, competitive analysis, and gather industry intelligence
• Support due diligence activities and build market maps and landscapes
• Analyze startup pitch decks, product briefs, white papers, and other external materials
• Assess how startup solutions may complement HPE’s solutions
• Develop and present concise findings and narratives for senior business leaders
• Plan and execute key projects, including milestone tracking and risk management
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, sales, and other cross-functional teams
• Analyze complex datasets and provide data-driven recommendations
• Prepare presentations and reports for senior management
• Assist with day-to-day operations and administrative tasks
• Participate in periodic project reviews and incorporate feedback

Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant experience
• Experience at a technology company, technology startup, technology-focused venture capital or private equity firm, technology investment bank, technology consulting firm, or in corporate strategy and development
• Passion for innovation and technology startups
• Strong interpersonal, social, and relationship management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comfort presenting to internal and external audiences
• Ability to analyze complex data and identify key issues
• Strategic thinking and ability to formulate concrete recommendations
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Time management skills and ability to work with strict deadlines
• Intimate familiarity with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
