Job summary

MoonPay is seeking a Business Operations & Strategy Lead to work closely with our SVP of Corporate Development and help drive some of MoonPay’s highest-priority strategic initiatives.

This role is highly cross-functional, operating at the intersection of strategy, business operations, and corporate development. You will translate priorities into clear plans, drive complex initiatives forward, and ensure alignment across teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate strategic priorities into clear plans, workstreams, milestones, and measurable outcomes with the SVP of Corporate Development.
• Lead high-priority strategic and cross-functional initiatives from definition through execution, bringing structure and momentum to complex questions.
• Support corporate development priorities, including strategic transactions, partnerships, investments, and other opportunities that accelerate growth.
• Drive alignment across senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, identifying dependencies and ensuring decisions and actions move forward.
• Build and continuously improve operating cadences, including prioritisation, planning, decision-making, and tracking against key objectives.
• Develop high-quality strategic analysis and materials that synthesize complex information for senior leadership decisions.

1. About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Business Operations & Strategy Lead to work closely with our SVP of Corporate Development and help drive some of MoonPay’s highest-priority strategic initiatives.

This is a high-impact, highly cross-functional role at the intersection of strategy, business operations, and corporate development. You will act as a force multiplier for the SVP, helping translate strategic priorities into clear plans, driving complex initiatives forward, and ensuring alignment and accountability across teams.

You'll work across a broad range of topics, from supporting strategic transactions and partnerships to improving operating cadence and tackling high-priority projects that don't sit neatly within a single team. The ideal candidate combines strong strategic judgment with an operator mindset: someone who can move seamlessly from structuring an ambiguous problem to getting into the details required to deliver an outcome.

2. What you will do

• Partner closely with the SVP of Corporate Development to translate strategic priorities into clear plans, workstreams, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
• Lead high-priority strategic and cross-functional initiatives from definition through execution, bringing structure and momentum to complex or ambiguous problems.
• Support corporate development priorities, including strategic transactions, partnerships, investments, and other opportunities that accelerate MoonPay’s growth.
• Drive alignment across senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, identifying dependencies, resolving blockers, and ensuring critical decisions and actions move forward.
• Build and continuously improve operating cadences, including prioritisation, planning, decision-making processes, and tracking against key objectives.
• Develop high-quality strategic analysis and materials that synthesize complex information, surface key trade-offs, and enable senior leadership to make informed decisions.

3. About You

• You have significant experience in a high-performance environment such as business operations, strategy, corporate development, investing, consulting, or a similarly analytical and execution-focused role.
• You are an exceptional operator who can take ambiguous, complex problems, create structure, establish priorities, and drive work through to measurable outcomes.
• You have strong commercial and strategic judgment, with the ability to analyse opportunities, understand trade-offs, and connect individual initiatives to broader company objectives.
• You have experience influencing senior stakeholders and coordinating complex work across multiple functions without relying on formal authority.
• You thrive in fast-moving, high-accountability environments and are equally comfortable developing a strategic recommendation, diving into the details, and ensuring execution happens.

Salary bandings: $188,000 - $198,000
