Role Overview
Seeking a Business Operations Analyst to support business and process improvement initiatives through data analysis, operational reporting, process optimization, and performance measurement.
The ideal candidate will have strong Excel and Power BI skills, experience developing dashboards and reports, and the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable business insights. This role will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify process gaps, improve performance, and support data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and support process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Analyze and document existing business and operational processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Develop, automate, maintain, and enhance comprehensive Excel and Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret datasets to identify trends, performance gaps, and root causes.
- Create data visualizations and dashboards that communicate insights clearly to business stakeholders and leadership.
- Develop and maintain operational metrics and performance indicators.
- Measure operational performance against established requirements, targets, and KPIs.
- Identify process gaps and provide data-driven recommendations to improve business performance.
- Conduct root cause analysis and evaluate opportunities for process optimization.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to implement process and data improvements.
- Facilitate change management activities related to data, reporting, and process changes.
- Support smooth implementation and adoption of new processes, reporting tools, and analytical solutions.
- Ensure analytical outputs comply with established data governance, reporting, and data quality standards.
- Maintain data integrity, accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reports and dashboards.
- Challenge stakeholders to evaluate long-term, data-driven solutions rather than short-term fixes.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis to evaluate improvement opportunities.
- Research and evaluate industry best practices, analytical techniques, and process improvement methodologies.
- Communicate project status, findings, recommendations, and progress to stakeholders and leadership.
- Develop and deliver presentations, training, and process documentation as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in business operations, business analysis, process improvement, data analytics, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, and automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including dashboard and report development.
- Experience analyzing large or complex datasets and translating findings into actionable insights.
- Strong understanding of process improvement, root cause analysis, and performance measurement.
- Experience developing and monitoring KPIs, operational metrics, and performance dashboards.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to identify process gaps and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Strong understanding of data accuracy, integrity, and governance.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive initiatives independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Six Sigma certification, particularly Green Belt or Black Belt, is a plus.
- Experience with business process mapping and re-engineering.
- Experience with change management and organizational process implementation.
- Experience with data automation and advanced reporting solutions.
- Experience conducting cost-benefit analysis.
- Experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, engineering, or other complex operational environments.
