A leading marketing agency is seeking an Operations Manager to drive operational excellence and manage business processes. With a focus on client satisfaction and team support in the mental health space, this full-time remote position offers $3,000–$3,500 a month with benefits. Ideal candidates will thrive in organized environments and demonstrate exceptional leadership in a fully remote setting.
Hey there, I’m Kristie - I run a small but mighty SEO-focused marketing agency called Place Digital.
We’re based in the U.S, and we work with a mix of full-time team members and expert contractors across the globe. We're not big on meetings - in fact, we don’t do any on Mondays or Fridays - and we like to give our team time and space to do great work without micromanagement.
Our clients are mainly in the mental health space, which we care deeply about. I’m going on maternity leave in October, and our Account Manager is too - so we’re looking for someone dependable, experienced, and calm under pressure to come in and help run the show (better than I can, honestly).
If you enjoy clean processes, smart systems, and working with genuinely kind people, you’ll feel right at home here.
We’re looking for an Operations Manager who’s organized, detail-loving, and great with people.
You’ll help drive operational excellence across the business and make sure everything runs smoothly, freeing me up to focus on vision and big-picture strategy.
More specifically, you will:
Optimize and document key business processes so the team can focus on high-value work
Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks before they become a problem
Schedule and lead quarterly and annual planning calls
Ensure strategic initiatives are aligned with company goals and values
Create custom scorecards for team members and manage the performance review process
Oversee financial operations including budgeting, billing, and resource allocation
Onboard new hires and support a strong internal culture
Handle client journey touchpoints, from onboarding to renewals, to boost satisfaction and retention
Review and update internal templates to make sure everything stays current and on-brand
Working Hours : This is a full-time role, working US Mountain Time (with plans to shift to Eastern Time in summer 2026). We do not take meetings on Mondays and Fridays so we can focus on deep work, so you can work your local hours on those days (although there may be some exceptions if we have all-hands meetings scheduled, typically on Friday mornings every 30 days or so).
You’re the kind of person who gets satisfaction from making systems run like clockwork. You’re not one to rush into things - instead, you take your time to gather info, build thoughtful plans, and create order out of chaos.
You’re trustworthy, proactive, and great at keeping things on track. You enjoy supporting others and don’t mind working in a sensitive field like mental health.
You’re a clear communicator, especially in writing, and you bring a calm, steady energy to the team.
You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
5+ years in project or operations management within a marketing/service agency environment
Experience leading high-performing teams
Comfortable with clients and managing client relationships
Familiarity with AI tools, marketing automation, billing, and HR platforms
Proficiency in Go High Level, Google Workspace, ClickUp, Zapier, Airtable
Brownie points for experience with:
Microsoft Office Suite, Notion, Moxie, Canva, Gusto, QuickBooks or similar tools
Understanding of VPNs, HIPAA compliance, and international online business standards
What’s in it for you?
$3,000–$3,500 per month*
Full-time, fully remote
3 weeks paid time off, plus Christmas week off and potentially holidays in your location
️ 3 personal days per year (not to be taken consecutively)
Family leave available
*Please note that this is a gross salary and that you are responsible for any tax-related procedures in your country of residence. We kindly ask you to apply only if you are happy to work remotely as an independent contractor.
