Best Care Health and Rehab is expanding our Exceptional Team! Are you an outstanding BUSINESS OFFICE MANAGER seeking a rewarding work environment?

Summary: Provides general office, accounting, and payroll support, including communication with families, representatives, and community members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Oversees general facility accounting, including admission processes, communication with families and payors, managing resident funds, month-end closing, petty cash, reimbursements, routine payments, and accounts receivable coordination.
  2. Provides administrative, clerical, and human resources support, including employee benefits, payroll, schedules, personnel files, responding to resident and family concerns related to billing, and assisting with admission inquiries.
  3. Maintains proper documentation such as payor sources, collection efforts, insurance verification, Medicare/Medicaid information, and audits payor information including Medicare documentation.
  4. Performs quality assessment and assurance functions as directed.
  5. Assists with the development and updating of business office policies and procedures to align with the facility's philosophy, standards, and legal requirements.
  6. Participates in survey processes as directed.
  7. Maintains and updates skills through continuing education and in-service programs.
  8. Ensures safety and reporting procedures are followed, promptly reports incidents or injuries, and responds appropriately in emergencies to ensure safety.
  9. Complies with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  10. Responds to inquiries or complaints from residents, regulatory agencies, or the community, and presents information effectively to management.
  11. Must be proficient in speaking, understanding, and reading English to ensure resident safety and care.
  12. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills, energy, enthusiasm, organizational ability, and effective communication skills.
  13. This role involves physical activities such as standing, sitting, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting (up to 50 pounds or more), bending, climbing, twisting, walking, running, carrying, listening, talking, and exposure to medical equipment and individuals with health risks.

Supervisory Responsibilities: As directed, supervises employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, appraising performance, and addressing employee issues, exercising discretion and judgment.

Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous bookkeeping experience is highly desirable. Must be capable of mathematical calculations and knowledgeable about Medicare/Medicaid eligibility requirements, meeting all state and federal standards.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Valid driver’s license as per facility requirements.
