As an Applied AI Modeling Lead, in our Business Modeling Operations team, you will work with colleagues across JPMorgan Chase developing cutting-edge products and systems to serve our customers and internal agents supporting the bank's operations.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Work in a product-oriented work operating model where design, product management, data science, and engineering work side-by-side in delivering products for customer services.
  2. Apply deep natural language processing (NLP) knowledge and experience and critical thinking skills and perform advanced analytics with the goal of solving complex and multi-faceted business problems.
  3. Generate deep insights through the analysis of data and understanding of the bank's operations that are both external and internal facing and turn them into actionable recommendations.
  4. Contribute to the full product development lifecycle, including defining the objective and key product deliverables.
  5. Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor in system development, computer algorithms, NLP and machine learning.
  6. Coach and mentor junior team members and help develop their technical, business, and communication skills.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  1. Advanced degree in Computer Science with concentration in Artificial Intelligence; Advanced programming skills of 8+ years (research/PhD + industrial) on more than 1 programming language.
  2. Outstanding written and oral communication skills to present analytical findings and exercise influence among key project stakeholders.
  3. Experience in developing large-scale machine learning solutions based on big data to solve real world problems (e.g. Classification, Regression, or Recommender Systems).
  4. Quickly learn programming in another programming language seamlessly.
  5. Strong analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability of thinking outside the box.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  1. Ph.D. in Computer Science with concentration in Artificial Intelligence, prefer training and work experience in NLP.
  2. Extensive experience with big-data environments (e.g. Hadoop, Spark) and code development experience on a cloud development platform.
  3. Programming languages such as Spark, Python, Scala, Java are preferred.
