Job summary

WDSU, the Hearst-owned NBC Affiliate in New Orleans, LA, is seeking a Business Manager to lead HR and finance functions. You will partner with the regional finance team on monthly closings, forecasts and budgets, while overseeing HR activities and payroll processing. Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills are essential in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The role reports to the President and General Manager and requires in-person attendance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience.
• HR experience required; PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SCP certification a plus.
• Payroll experience is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Oracle HCM, Wide Orbit and ADP.

Responsibilities

• Support HR activities across the organization.
• Partner with regional finance on closings, forecasts and budgets.
• Manage accounts payable and expenses; process invoices.
• Oversee onboarding/offboarding, leave and workers' compensation.
• Manage employee data in Oracle HCM; support performance management.
• Provide analysis and tools for department heads to manage expenses.
• Liaise between station and regional accounting on reporting.
