Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Business Management Analyst - Material Estimating to support the NIC division. You will prepare material estimates for proposals and collaborate with proposal teams to define estimating strategies.

You will ensure FAR/DFAR compliance, develop Bills of Materials pricing templates, and assist with price analysis, risk assessment, and government audits. US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field with at least 2 years of financial work experience.
  • Strong understanding of Government Compliance.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, charts, and VBA.
  • US citizenship required.
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFAR preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare material estimates for proposal submittals.
  • Collaborate with proposal teams to develop estimating strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR and regulatory requirements.
  • Support pricing analyses and BOM pricing templates.
  • Assist with audits, negotiations, and certifications including TINA.
  • Interact with Global Supply Chain, Program Management, and Pricing.

The preferred location for this on-site position is San Diego, CA, but can also be staffed at our Woodland Hills, CA location.What You’ll Get to Do:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Prepare material estimates for proposal submittals by:Understanding customer requirements through RFPs and other requestsCollaborating and coordinating with proposal technical teams to develop the material estimating strategy, interfacing with Business Management, Global Supply Chain, Program Management, Program Office, and Pricing OrganizationsSelecting appropriate pricing methods (e.g., PO History, vendor quotes) for each item included in the proposalWorking on multiple priority proposals concurrentlyEnsuring compliance with Customer and FAR/DFAR Regulatory RequirementsEnsuring delivery schedule adherenceSupporting proposal reviews with detailed Bills of Materials and Cost Estimating Relationships (CERs), including accompanying supporting dataPreparing Bill of Material pricing templates to support proposal-specific pricing modelsSupporting risk and opportunity assessment, quantification, and analysis during the proposal estimating processPreparing material price analyses to support business unit and GSC leaders in decision-making as it pertains to specific pricing proposalsSupporting fact-finding, government audits, customer negotiations, and certifications, while ensuring TINA compliance during all aspects of the proposal processInteracting with various stakeholders, including but not limited to Global Supply Chain, Program Management, Pricing, and Business ManagementBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, etc.) or Business adjacent degree (Mathematics, Risk Management) from an accredited institution with a minimum of 2 years of financial work experience.Basic understanding of Government ComplianceStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, chart generation, VBA macros, etc.)US citizenship is requiredPreferred Qualifications:Prior material estimating experienceProposal experience within government contractingKnowledge of FAR and DFARThe ability to obtain a US Government Secret clearanceWhat We Can Offer YouNorthrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
