Job summary

Jobot is seeking a qualified attorney in Jacksonville to manage a docket of business and commercial litigation from inception through settlement, mediation, and trial preparation. You will draft pleadings and motions, take and defend depositions, conduct legal research, and represent clients in Florida state and federal court hearings, with hybrid/remote options depending on business needs.

• At least 3 years of business/commercial litigation experience.
• Strong writing skills with experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement communications.
• Deposition experience (taking and defending) and comfort handling hearings.
• Experience in Florida state court practice; federal court experience is a plus.
• Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities with minimal oversight.
• Professional, client-ready communication style and sound judgment.

Job Details

Salary: $130,000 - $170,000 per year

What You'll Do

• Manage a docket of business and commercial litigation matters from inception through settlement, mediation, dispositive motions, and trial prep
• Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions, and prepare pleadings, written discovery, and subpoenas
• Take and defend depositions, coordinate expert discovery, and manage fact development
• Conduct legal research and provide practical, business-focused advice to clients
• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and conferences in Florida state and federal courts

What We're Looking For

• Florida Bar admission in good standing (required)
