Job summary

Ogden City Government seeks a qualified supervisor to lead the Business Licensing team within Building Services. You will oversee licensing processes, renewals, and enforcement while coordinating with Planning, Fire, Police, and Finance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and several years of licensing or regulatory experience, including staff supervision. Strong leadership, customer service, and process improvement are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, or a closely related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in business licensing, permitting, municipal administration, regulatory compliance, or a related field.
• Two years of supervisory or lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, supervise, and evaluate the work of Business Licensing staff.
• Oversee the processing, issuance, renewal, amendment, transfer, suspension, revocation, and closure of all business licenses.
• Administer and coordinate the Good Landlord Program and related inspections and reports.
• Develop and implement division goals, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Coordinate with other City departments to ensure regulatory compliance and timely processing.
