Job summary

MFS is a hybrid work environment (remote/onsite) supporting collaboration and delivering analytics to the Distribution team. The Business Intelligence Senior Analyst designs, tests, and delivers reports and dashboards to provide insights and support business decisions.

We seek 2-5+ years of experience with SQL and data visualization, and knowledge of Tableau, Salesforce, or MicroStrategy to drive analytics and insights across global partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-5+ years related experience.
• Understanding of SQL and/or other query languages.
• Experience with data visualization and BI tools.
• Ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of SDLC and Agile framework.

Responsibilities

• Manage and complete incoming ad-hoc requests from users which are tracked using cases within the CRM application.
• Effectively gather, organize, and present data in a meaningful layout that will enhance the users understanding of the topic.
• Provide standard channel and territory reporting.
• Analyze large volumes of transactions, CRM activity and industry data.
• Collaborate with team members to design, test, maintain, and distribute reports & dashboards using standardized BI and CRM tools through an agile project methodology.
• Serves as point of contact for global users and technology teams to provide support for business reporting functions related to distribution and other divisions.
• Working as a partner to internal users, deliver insights via reporting and dashboards to enable their success.
• Manages coop responsibilities and works with them to manage and complete standard scheduled reporting requests and small projects.
• Formulates and defines scope and objectives of projects and requests based on both user needs and an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
• Mentors and coaches less experienced team members.

THE ROLE

Using discretion and judgement, the Business Intelligence Sr. Analyst role helps design, test, and deliver solutions that address the business needs of the Distribution department focusing on reporting and dashboards to provide analytics and insights. This entails a knowledge of business processes and applications that support them. They regularly work with business partners throughout the organization to support and provide insights into their business activities. For both, scheduled and ad-hoc requests, this position plays a prominent role in the development, enhancement and deployment of reports and dashboards for the benefit of our clients and internal business partners.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Minimum of 2-5+ years related experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a business or technology related field.
• Understanding of SQL and/or other query languages.
• Ability to efficiently utilize resources and communicate with others, both verbally and in writing.
• Analytical skills with the ability to make independent decisions.
• An understanding of systems development lifecycle and agile framework.
• Ability to develop creative solutions and translate them to meet business needs and provide actional insights using data and visualizations.
• Detailed-oriented with the ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Experienced in data visualization technology
• Knowledge of relational databases and concepts
• Beginner to Intermediate level ability in writing and understanding Structured Query Language (SQL)

PREFERRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Knowledge of Tableau, Salesforce, MicroStrategy, other MFS enterprise systems, underlying relevant technical architecture and business processes.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
• Base Salary Range: $67,600.00 - $118,500.00
• This position is eligible for competitive incentive bonus.
• At MFS, we believe in fair and transparent compensation. For that reason, we’re including the salary range for this position. This range reflects our good-faith expectation for what we’ll pay depending on the candidate’s experience, training and education.
• In addition to the salary, we also offer significant and competitive incentive compensation based on both individual and company performance.
