Job summary

Merck's Future Talent Program offers internships up to 12 weeks with projects in the Research Lab Division. As a Business Intelligence Intern, you will gather, analyze, and visualize data to inform business operations and decisions, collaborating with multiple departments to transform data into insights.

You will model data in Databricks, create reports in Power BI and other BI tools, and assist in building data pipelines while applying data science ideas.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree with at least two years completed by start date.
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, Qlik, Tableau or ThoughtSpot.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of databases and data structures.
• Able to work independently and in a team, with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in data product modeling in Databricks using internal/external data.
• Develop reports using BI tools to track KPIs and metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements.
• Analyze trends and performance metrics to support decisions.
• Help automate reports and build data pipelines, leveraging ML capabilities.
• Present findings to team members and stakeholders.
