Job summary

Medline seeks a Business Intelligence Development/Analytics Intern to build and maintain enterprise BI, data warehousing, and reporting solutions in the Chicagoland area. You will translate business needs into detailed data requirements and contribute to dashboard design, data analysis, and reporting deliverables.

Qualifications

• Junior standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
• Background in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related field.
• Understanding of basic data storage and ETL methodologies and techniques.
• Basic knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, and SQL.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for requirements gathering and creating business requirement documents.
• Design, development, and implementation of new dashboards.
• Development of analytical (tabular) reports.
• Debug and/or optimize existing data flows and reports.
• Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting.
• Work with internal customers and IT partners to develop BI requirements and solutions.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data.
• Transform analyses into concrete, actionable recommendations to drive decision-making.
