The role requires BI experience, MS SQL/T-SQL skills, and familiarity with data warehousing concepts. Collaboration and independent work abilities are essential for success at Solarity.

• 2+ years of BI experience required or equivalent

Job OverviewThe Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer will create reporting solutions that support key business processes by leveraging defined development policies, and standards. The individual in this position leverages their intermediate knowledge of data warehousing techniques and reporting to perform tasks, contribute in code reviews, process definition, requirement definition, and provide mentorship to team members.Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelop reporting solutions, ETL processes, and database structures with a focus on maturing the organization's data and analytics capabilities.Ensure completed work follows department policies, procedures and coding standards.Actively participate in various agile development meetings, design sessions and presentations.Maintain a strong understanding of the database and reporting architecture.Create and maintain documentation for solutions.Contribute in code reviews and provide feedback to other team members.Maintain a strong knowledge and understanding of Solarity’s processes and terminology.Work with Service Desk to respond to customer requests and issues reported in production.Mentor and direct team members in assigned tasks.Comply with Solarity’s policies, procedures and guidelines.May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.Qualifications2+ years of relevant business intelligence experience required; or one of the following: Associate’s degree in related field with 1 year of relevant experience or Bachelor’s degree in related field.Basic knowledge of MS SQL Server and T-SQL.Basic knowledge of Database design and development.Knowledge and experience with data warehousing techniques preferred.Experience with Dundas BI preferred.Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively.Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently.Ability to efficiently learn and apply new ideas and concepts.Ability to organize time and projects efficiently.About SolaritySolarity improves the accuracy, accessibility, and interoperability of electronic medical records through innovative, service-backed technology to capture and index healthcare documentation.
