Job summary

Ochsner is seeking a skilled BI professional to manage the full BI lifecycle, from requirements gathering to dashboard development and deployment. You will design data models, develop reports, and ensure data integrity across clinical and operational data sources.

Remote with occasional travel is required. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1 year of SQL, data analysis, and BI experience are expected, with healthcare analytics and Tableau/Oracle BI proficiency highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, business, or related field.
• 1 year of experience with SQL, data analysis and profiling, and relational databases.
• 1 year of experience with reporting, dashboards, and BI systems.
• 1 year of experience as a business analyst collaborating with end users to define metrics.
• Preferred: Oracle, SQL, data analysis, and profiling.
• 1 year of experience with data visualization using Tableau, Oracle BI EE, or Crystal Reports.
• 1 year of healthcare experience.
• Healthcare analytics or Revenue Cycle experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops logical modeling and visualization solutions to implement requirements.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to understand objectives and develop analytical solutions.
• Maintains documentation of processes and procedures.
• Monitors BI systems and resolves issues.
• Administers BI server(s) and processes.
• Performs other related duties as required.

This job is responsible for all stages of the business intelligence cycle: understanding business objective, collecting business requirements and translating them into data requirements, designing and developing reports or dashboards (code and visualization), scheduling and deployment of business intelligence components in accordance with supplied standards and best practices, and completing accurate and timely documentation. Collaborates with business and technology departments to understand system data and its use, data analysis and validation, and providing support around the data and how it is integrated. Monitors production systems for issues and resolves issues or elevate them for resolution when necessary. Education

Required - Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems (MIS), business, or related field.

Work Experience

Required -1 year of experience with SQL programming language, data analysis and profiling, relational database systems, reporting, dashboards and business intelligence systems.

1 year of experience as business analyst, collaborating with end users to define metrics and business requirements.

Preferred - 1 year of experience with Oracle, SQL programming language, and data analysis and profiling.

1 year of experience with data visualization using Tableau, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise edition and/or Crystal Reports.

1 year of healthcare experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Healthcare analytics and/or Revenue Cycle experience

Epic Revenue, Access, Clinical, or Clarity Data Model certification preferred (or strong interest in obtaining certification)

Experience with Sigma Computing, Tableau or similar analytics platforms

Strong Snowflake and enterprise data modeling experience

Ability to design and maintain semantic layers, data marts, and business-friendly data models

Advanced SQL skills, including reviewing and troubleshooting complex logic

Ability to trace data lineage from source systems through reporting layers

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on business outcomes

Experience working directly with business stakeholders to solve operational and strategic challenges

Python, APIs, and analytics automation experience is a plus

Self-starter with the ability to work independently and lead enhancement initiatives

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
