Almac Group is currently seeking a Business Intelligence Developer II for our Lansdale, Pennsylvania location. The Business Intelligence Developer's primary focus is to execute the business intelligence vision for Almac's Clinical Technology's business unit.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Developing in T-SQL, Analysis Services tabular models, and assisting with the planning and "lift and shift" into Azure and Power BI. Performing analysis on large and diverse data sets.
- Supporting end users, including assistance in defining requirements and manipulating data in end user tools.
- Writing and maintaining documentation for Business Intelligence solutions, including creating functional specifications, translating business requirements into technical requirements, and contributing to data dictionaries.
Qualifications:
Required Education / Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or HS diploma with 5 years of technical experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or software development.
- 5+ years of experience in T-SQL development on SQL Server.
- 5+ years of data manipulation skills in Excel pivot tables.
- 3+ years supporting end users or in a customer-facing role.
- 3+ years developing tabular data models (JSON, DAX, Mashup, MDX, XML) or experience with analytical data warehouse development.
Preferred Education / Experience:
- Microsoft Certification in SQL Server, Business Intelligence, or Power BI.
- 2+ years working with Power BI.
- 2+ years working in an agile environment.
- Exposure to Azure Synapse, Azure Analysis Services, PowerShell, or Python.
Customer Service Skills
- This position involves supporting end users, requiring strong listening and interpersonal skills. The candidate should be patient, understanding, and respectful in all communications.
Documentation Skills
- This role requires producing and maintaining documentation, with the ability to clearly define logic and identify gaps or errors.
