Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to design and implement enterprise BI solutions for a global private client business. The role focuses on data warehousing, tabular modeling, and Power BI reporting using Azure technologies.

You will collaborate with architects, data engineers, and stakeholders to transform operational data into insights, influence strategic decisions, and deliver scalable reporting solutions across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with business intelligence methods and tools (Power BI).
• Advanced knowledge in SQL, R, DAX/MDX, or Python.
• Experience with Azure Synapse or equivalent cloud database technology.
• Strong experience with tabular model design for large models in Analysis Services/Power BI.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Knowledge of RBAC and data security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Based on evaluation, recommend, implement, maintain, support, and improve BI solutions, including datasets, data models, dashboards, and reports.
• Independently manage product issues such as defects, patches, and upgrades, including deployment, testing, and post-production validation.
• Define, guide, and deliver medium-to-large BI projects from beginning to end, with guidance from BI Architects.
• Test BI solutions, including creating and implementing test plans/cases/scripts.
• Provide operational support and incident management for assigned systems, including proactively update internal clients and relevant parties on status changes and issues encountered.
• Author and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for processes, procedures, and dashboard/report designs.

This candidate will play a critical role in designing and developing enterprise-scale business intelligence solutions that support a global private client business. The ideal candidate will collaborate with architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to transform operational data into meaningful insights through data warehousing, tabular modeling, and Power BI reporting. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern Azure technologies, build scalable data solutions, and directly influence strategic business decisions through advanced analytics and visualization capabilities. As part of a growing technology organization, this individual will help drive innovation, support operational excellence, and deliver impactful reporting solutions across the enterprise.

Must-Haves:

• 5+ years\' experience with business intelligence methods and tools (Power BI)
• Advanced knowledge in programming languages such as SQL, R, DAX/MDX, or Python
• Experience with Azure Synapse, or equivalent cloud database technology
• Strong experience with tabular model design for large models in Analysis Services/Power BI

Day-to-Day:

Compensation:

$40-$45hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
