FAIRWINDS Credit Union in Orlando is seeking a diligent Business Intelligence Developer to design scalable data solutions, optimize reporting, and translate complex data into actionable insights.

You will build dashboards using PowerBI and other tools, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure governance and data quality while advancing our analytics strategy.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in BI, strong SQL, ETL, and experience with Tableau/SSIS/SSAS/SSRS, and a BA/BS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• 2–4 years of BI, data analytics, or data development experience.
• Experience in financial services or a credit union environment is preferred.
• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge.
• Experience with ETL processes and data integration.
• Ability to create scalable dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Adaptable, open-minded, and solution-oriented.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Commitment to data accuracy, governance, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Create effective reporting solutions, dashboards, and user interfaces using tools such as PowerBI or similar.
• Expertise with relational databases and SQL, plus experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and other DBs.
• Proficiency with PowerBI, Tableau, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, SSMS, and SQL Server Master Data Services.
• Conduct data discovery within database schemas to classify data and develop clear business definitions.
• Assemble data sets and data models aligned to business requirements.
• Integrate new and existing data sources into a sustainable data repository.
• Maximize reusable data objects such as sources, stored procedures, and report objects.
• Migrate and enhance legacy analytics and reporting systems.
• Automate manual processes and improve data performance.
• Distinguish between current operational needs and long-term analytics requirements.
• Adhere to Data Governance Standards and translate requirements across departments.

In this role, you’ll design scalable data solutions, optimize reporting infrastructure, and transform complex data into actionable insights that support strategic growth and operational excellence.

Your Role In Our Mission

• Create effective and efficient reporting solutions, dashboards, and user interfaces using tools such as PowerBI or similar.
• Expertise with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as extensive experience with a variety of databases (SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Expertise with Advanced SQL Programming and DAX querying languages Expertise with analytic tools including but not limited to: PowerBI, Tableau, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, SSMS, and SQL Server Master Data Services.
• Conduct data discovery within database schemas to classify data and develop clear business definitions.
• Assemble simple and complex data sets and data models aligned to business requirements.
• Integrate new and existing data sources into a sustainable data repository.
• Maximize the use of reusable objects (data sources, stored procedures, functions, report objects).
• Migrate and enhance legacy analytics and reporting systems.
• Automate manual processes and improve data performance.
• Distinguish between current operational needs and long-term strategic analytics requirements.
• Adhere to established Data Governance Standards.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and communicate effectively across departments.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered
• 2–4 years of related experience and/or training in business intelligence, data analytics, or data development
• Experience in financial services or a credit union environment is preferred
• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge
• Experience with ETL processes and data integration
• Ability to create scalable dashboards and reporting solutions
