Vernon Health in Wisconsin is seeking a BI Developer to join our Revenue Cycle Team. You will transform clinical, operational, and financial data into insights guiding strategic decisions, building ETL pipelines, dashboards, and reports.

The ideal candidate has strong SQL, data modeling, and experience with Tableau or Power BI, plus healthcare analytics. Starting wage is $33.06/hour with raises based on experience; hours are Monday–Friday 8a–430p; benefits include insurance and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, or related field; associate degree with equivalent IT experience accepted.
• Epic Cogito Certification strongly preferred (or ability to obtain within 3 months).
• Advanced SQL proficiency and strong database design skills.
• Minimum 3 years of healthcare analytics experience with EHR data and data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ETL pipelines and integrate data from EHR, financial, and other systems.
• Design data models and deliver dashboards and BI solutions.

Description

Full‑time position for BI Developer on our Revenue Cycle Team. We are seeking a skilled person to support our mission of improving healthcare outcomes through high‑quality data, insightful analytics, and reliable reporting. In this role, you will transform complex clinical, operational, and financial data into meaningful insights that guide strategic decision‑making across the organization. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to data integrity and regulatory compliance.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

• Data Integration & ETL: Build and maintain ETL pipelines; integrate data from EHR, financial, and other systems.
• Data Modeling & BI: Design optimized data models and deliver dashboards, reports, and BI solutions.
• Analytics & Reporting: Clean, analyze, and interpret healthcare data to support operational, clinical, and financial decisions; develop dashboards and perform predictive analytics.
• Compliance & Quality: Ensure data accuracy and adherence to HIPAA and healthcare regulations; support data quality assurance efforts.
• Collaboration: Communicate insights into technical and non‑technical teams; partner with clinical, administrative, and IT stakeholders.
• Leadership & Support: Mentor staff on analytics tools; troubleshoot data and reporting issues.

Education & Training

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, or related field preferred. Minimum of associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience in IT, statistics, or database management.
• Epic Cogito Certification is strongly preferred (or ability to obtain within 3 months).
• Advanced SQL proficiency and strong database design skills.
• Minimum 3 years of healthcare analytics experience, including work with EHR data, data analysis tools, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with ETL tools, data warehousing concepts, and data architecture optimization.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
