Nesnah Ventures, LLC is seeking a highly analytical Business Intelligence Analyst to build analytics from the ground up as we move from Tableau to Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. You will partner with portfolio leaders to deliver scalable dashboards, data models, and insights that influence strategic decisions across multiple companies.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Reporting, or a related role.
• Proven experience developing dashboards and reports in Power BI.
• Experience working with relational databases, data modeling, and SQL.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to portfolio companies periodically.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards that drive business performance.
• Partner with leaders across portfolio companies to translate questions into analytics solutions.
• Support evolution of Microsoft Fabric environment and ingest, transform, model data.
• Build and maintain semantic data models for reliable analytics datasets.
• Evaluate when to reuse existing reporting vs. create custom solutions.
• Troubleshoot data quality issues and implement sustainable fixes.
• Automate recurring reporting processes to improve efficiency.
• Create SQL extracts and support external data integrations.
• Deliver ad hoc analysis to aid leadership decisions.
• Document dashboard logic, rules, and data definitions for consistency.

The Role

We're seeking a highly analytical, business‑minded Business Intelligence Analyst to join our growing Business Intelligence team. This is not a role where you'll simply inherit a mature reporting environment and maintain existing dashboards. This is a rare opportunity to help build something from the ground up.

As we transition from Tableau to Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, you'll play a key role in establishing new standards, developing reporting frameworks, creating scalable datasets, and defining how analytics is delivered across our portfolio of companies. While there is existing reporting to support, much of this environment is greenfield. We're looking for someone who embraces the opportunity to create structure where it doesn't yet exist, solve problems that haven't been solved before, and help shape the future of our Business Intelligence function.

You’ll work directly with business leaders and stakeholders to transform data into actionable insights, balancing strategic projects with hands‑on development. Success in this role requires equal parts technical expertise, business curiosity, and a builder's mindset. The right candidate won't be intimidated by ambiguity. They'll be energized by it.

What A Day In The Life Looks Like

• Designing and developing interactive Power BI dashboards that drive business performance and visibility
• Partnering directly with leaders across multiple portfolio companies to understand reporting needs and translate business questions into meaningful analytics solutions
• Supporting the evolution of our Microsoft Fabric environment by helping ingest, transform, and model data for enterprise reporting
• Building and maintaining semantic data models that provide reliable, analytics‑ready datasets for end users
• Evaluating when existing reporting capabilities can solve a business need versus creating custom solutions
• Troubleshooting reporting and data quality issues while identifying root causes and implementing sustainable fixes
• Automating recurring reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
• Creating SQL extracts and supporting external data integrations
• Delivering ad hoc analysis that helps leadership make smarter, faster decisions
• Documenting dashboard logic, business rules, and data definitions to ensure consistency and scalability

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Reporting, or a related role
• Demonstrated experience developing dashboards and reports in Power BI
• Experience working with relational databases, data modeling, and SQL
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to portfolio companies periodically for meetings, trainings, or business needs
