Position Description:

Responsible for developing and operating business intelligence (BI) platforms, tools, and reports.

The Individual Is Responsible For The Following Tasks

• Design, develop and maintain BI solutions, extract, transform, load (ETL) processes, and dashboards.
• Gather and analyze requirements from stakeholders to ensure the BI solution meets needs.
• Develop data models to support reporting and analytics.
• Implement ETL processes to analyze data from various source systems and data formats.
• Create interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Collaboration with multiple teams to understand requirements and objectives Administer testing and troubleshooting.
• Create and update documentation.

Education:

This position requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, statistics, mathematics, economics, or related field. Three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.

General Experience

• The proposed candidate must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience as a BI Developer.
• Strong data visualization skills, creating compelling and easy-to-understand dashboards.
• Proficiency in SQL is a must.
• Excellent communication and training abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.
• Proficiency in data exploration and querying is essential.
• Familiarity with data modeling and data warehousing.
• Knowledge of data warehousing and cloud computing is a plus.

Specialized Experience

• The candidate should have experience as a BI developer or similar role with a strong understanding of data modeling and ETL processes.
• The candidate should be proficient in SQL and experience with BI tools/software. They should possess a strong understanding of data warehouse, data lakehouse, and data mart concepts.

Key Qualifications

• Include strong project management skills, leadership abilities, effective communication, and the capacity to identify and resolve issues while adapting to changing circumstances.
• Significant experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, product owners, and stakeholders is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

• Include a technical background and experience in data and AI/ML projects.
• Functional experience with local or government projects in Data Services (MDM/R360/EDMS), Child Support, Integrated Eligibility, Child Welfare, Adult Protective Services, Juvenile Justice, or Health and Human Services is also preferred.
