Job Details

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide project management for BI solutions for new customer implementations
2. Work with the development team and IT group to design reporting analysis tools for internal and external use
3. Gather comprehensive requirements from external and internal customers and document them formally
4. Establish protocols to extract data in a standardized process from various data sources with the technical team
5. Understand and work with transactional and dimensional data models
6. Create solutions for clients in formats such as Excel, Crystal Reports, Business Objects Enterprise, Power BI
7. Analyze large data sets to generate targeted reports for clients
8. Train end users on analytical tools developed by the BI team
9. Write functional and technical documents
10. Perform additional duties as required, including possible local travel in the Greater Toronto Area (5%)

Experience and Educational Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
2. 7 to 10 years of experience in Business Analytics roles
3. Proficiency with MS Office, SQL, Business Objects, Crystal Reports
4. Knowledge of databases, SQL, and scripting
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
6. Familiarity with database design, modeling, and ETL processes
7. Experience in pharmaceutical or wholesale distribution industries is a plus
8. IT project management experience is an asset
9. Ability to interpret data models and database structures
10. Excellent communication and presentation skills
11. Ability to gather and analyze report requirements effectively
12. Team-oriented with good collaboration skills
13. Feedback-oriented and a good team player
14. Additional industry certifications are advantageous

Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

1. Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical distribution industry
2. Knowledge of automated warehouse systems
3. Strong business and financial acumen
4. Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
5. Effective communication skills, both oral and written
6. Leadership and interpersonal skills
7. Organizational skills with attention to detail
8. Ability to meet deadlines consistently
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office tools
