Job summary

Metergy Solutions, LLC is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join the Strategy and Analytics team in New York. You will design dashboards, run analyses, and partner with stakeholders to drive data-informed decisions.

You will work with Excel, Power BI, Python and SQL to model data, automate reports, and ensure data quality across departments such as technology, operations, and billing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Comp Sci/MIS/Data Analytics/Math or Statistics (or any analytical/data driven discipline)
• 0-2 years of experience working within business intelligence (Co-op/Internships included)
• High Proficiency in data modelling and analysis with demonstrated acumen using the following tools Excel, PowerBI, Python & SQL
• Strong SQL experience is a must with knowledge of relational databases, and ability to build and maintain views
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Data driven analytical skills, knowledge and/or experience related to financial analysis
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges
• Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing demands and deadlines, are essential
• Ability to conduct basic statistical and correlation analysis to identify patterns and trends.
• Excellent skills in Excel, R/Python, SQL
• Experienced with BI Tools such as Power BI / Tableau / SAP (Power BI Preferred)
• Creativity, relationship building skills and dedication are all highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Distill complex data and relationships into clear, concise charts and visualizations, support ad hoc data requests and analysis
• Design data models to extract data from operational databases and transform the data to easily understood business views
• Gather and process raw data at scale (including writing scripts, web scraping, calling API’s, writing SQL queries, etc.)
• Process unstructured data into a form suitable for analysis- then do the analysis
• Automate manual processes
• Navigate CRM and other systems to build reporting, ensure consistency and compliance across the departments
• Develop management monthly KPI’s/reports and BI dashboards for stakeholders across all business functions: technology, operations, field, billing etc
• Perform in-depth analysis to identify key business risks and opportunities and make recommendations to improve overall profitability

The Opportunity:

The Business Intelligence Analyst will support the Strategy and Analytics team with the execution of detailed analysis and creation of reports, dashboards and visualizations that provide the business with critical information to make informed decisions. The individual will use various tools and techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights, working with data from various sources, ensuring data quality and integrity, and collaborating with various groups and stakeholders across the business to understand information requirements as well as maintain data integrity/perform audits in our data platform.

Utilize business intelligence and reporting software, database tools, Microsoft Excel, and Office automation to design, build, assess, maintain, improve, and distribute dashboards and reports, combine data, and present accurate information.

$70,000 - $80,000 a year

Range reflects base salary and will be dependent on experience. In addition, Metergy offers an annual bonus and other benefits.
