Summary

This position is responsible for assisting in the production of new accounts and the retention of existing insurance accounts. Provides prompt, efficient, friendly, high-quality service to designated accounts in support of Producer activities. Communicates positively with clients to reinforce our “Client-first” service philosophy. Builds and maintains good relationships with clients and staff. Follows agency procedures and guidelines to perform duties.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 2 years insurance experience
  • NC Department of Insurance Property & Casualty License OR ability to obtain it within 30 days
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to discuss, support, and sell insurance products in relevant states
  • Proficiency with personal computer, agency automation system, and software like Microsoft Office; Applied EPIC, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Assertive self-starter with influencing skills
  • Client-focused and team-oriented
  • Effective presentation skills
Supervisory Responsibilities

May have supervisory responsibilities as the business grows.

Essential Functions
  • Gather information and provide risk management recommendations
  • Work with Producers on new prospects
  • Conduct service calls for accounts
  • Coordinate with Producers/Management on claims, payments, loss control, renewals
  • Handle special projects upon manager’s approval
  • Ensure timeliness and completeness in interactions
  • Process applications and analyze renewals
  • Respond to quotes, coverage changes, and new policies within 24 hours
  • Review accounts for additional insurance opportunities
  • Manage cancellations and terminations
  • Collect premiums and handle policy cancellations
  • Follow up on claims and assist in resolution
  • Monitor audits and manage agency’s handling
  • Maintain continuing education and professional designations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Demands

Primarily sedentary; some filing may be required, involving lifting files, opening cabinets, and bending or standing as necessary.

Work Environment

Office setting with standard equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and fax machines.

Travel

Occasional travel may be required.
