Job description

Job Description:

Dentsu is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Commercial Contract Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and will help foster a culture of compliance and risk awareness within the organization.

As a Commercial Contract Manager, you will report to the VP of Americas Client Contract Compliance and Risk Management. Your responsibilities include developing and maintaining a global contracts library across various service lines, ensuring compliance obligations in client contracts are met promptly, and establishing processes to support our teams worldwide in strategy, contract obligations, and execution.

The candidate should be comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from strategic to administrative. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities are essential.

You will manage a broad range of contractual and business documentation, interact with leadership at all levels to oversee contract post-execution activities, including reporting, deadlines, and client requests, and handle the commercial and legal aspects of contracts to ensure client satisfaction.

You will also help plan, develop, and deliver training programs to promote understanding and adherence to compliance policies and risk management protocols. Proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks related to contract compliance, working closely with stakeholders across the company, is key.

This role requires high-level collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Legal, Finance, and Commercial to ensure alignment with contract compliance standards and best practices. The candidate should confidently recommend process improvements and enhancements.

Contracts Library and Contract Management
  • Curate, collect, and update a contract library across service lines for priority clients, ensuring accurate and accessible documentation of agreements, amendments, and related materials.
  • Develop new tools, documents, and templates to address gaps.
  • Partner with internal teams to leverage industry best practices, standardize processes, and improve productivity.
  • Create standards and processes used across service lines and globally for strategy creation, communication, and benchmarking.
  • Manage complex redlines and negotiations, orchestrate internal approvals, and provide strategic recommendations.
Client Contract Compliance
  • Foster a culture of compliance, ensuring client contract obligations are met, including deadlines, reporting, and tracking.
  • Create compliance trackers, map contract clauses, and set reporting schedules.
Relationship Building with Enterprise Clients
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with requestors, service lines, and leadership involved in contract processes.
  • Ensure client satisfaction with contract compliance, provide quality service, and coordinate reporting and archiving of documents.
Audits
  • Participate in global external audits and internal controls, liaising with auditors to verify compliance and respond to findings.
Internal Control Framework and Health Checks
  • Engage in global conversations on controls and compliance, orchestrate stakeholder calls, and identify opportunities to minimize contract risks.
Risk Management
  • Prepare risk assessments and present briefings to leadership as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields; law degree preferred but not required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in contract development, compliance, audit, procurement, or related fields. Legal experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and contract management tools like Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of Google, AWS, and Microsoft AI technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills via various channels.
  • Interest in industry regulations, AI, and emerging trends.
  • Professional demeanor, judgment, adaptability, and integrity.
  • Understanding of contract law, terms, and negotiation processes.
  • Ability to prioritize, synthesize information, and interact professionally across levels and geographies.

The anticipated salary range is $68,000-$110,400, based on experience and other factors. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and more. For details, visit dentsubenefitsplus.com.
