Business Insights Analyst - Financial Services

A global, tech-driven investment firm in Chicago is looking for a Business Insights Analyst to join its Finance team. This is a high-impact role that combines data analysis, operational insights, and collaboration across trading, tech, and finance functions.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain a deep understanding of operational and vendor data across systems
• Own and manage reconciliations between vendor invoicing and internal usage data, resolving discrepancies and validating balances
• Maintain the firm’s master dataset for contracted services (creation, updates, deactivations)
• Stay informed of infrastructure and system changes to enhance data capture quality
• Implement best practices for collecting, interpreting, and classifying data across internal sources and warehouse systems
• Monitor and improve data accuracy, consistency, and integrity
• Recommend and test system enhancements to streamline workflows and improve efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic decisions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in an analytical, finance, or business research role
• Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of SQL + data visualization tools
• Proven data management capabilities and meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• A proactive, collaborative, and adaptable approach to work in a fast-paced environment
