Job summary

Synechron, a global consulting firm, seeks an experienced professional to join our FinLabs/Center of Excellence teams in New York. The role focuses on building prototypes for banking and financial services, leading discovery with business and tech stakeholders, and crafting executive pitches demonstrating innovative solutions using AI, ML, and Blockchain.

The ideal candidate has 7–12 years in financial services IT, a tech/finance degree (MBA preferred), and strong client-facing experience.

Qualifications

• 7–12 years of experience in financial institutions, FinTech, or IT services with a banking/FS focus.
• Degree in Technology and/or Finance; MBA preferred.
• Experience building software and solution architecture is highly valued.
• Strong client-facing experience with business stakeholders in large financial firms.

Responsibilities

• Build software prototypes in banking and financial services to differentiate Synechron offerings.
• Lead discovery on innovation projects interfacing business and tech teams to detail requirements.
• Develop executive pitches and presentations on Synechron propositions using AI, ML, Blockchain, etc.

About the team

FinLabs, short for Financial Innovations Lab, is the innovation unit of Synechron that focuses on applying emerging technologies such as AI, Blockchain, Data sciences, etc. to business use cases. Our key value add to our client engagements are working software building blocks called Accelerators that provide a framework to solve complex business problems with innovative solutions. Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York, NY is $130k - $160k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

1. Build software prototypes in banking and financial services domains that differentiate Synechron offerings for clients.
2. Knowledgeable in key domain areas such as lending, capital markets, wealth management, etc. and functional areas such as accounting, marketing, operations, etc.
3. Lead discovery on innovation projects helping envision the client solution interfacing with business and tech teams to detail out requirements.
4. Develop executive-ready pitches and presentations on Synechron propositions solving business use cases with emerging tech such as AI, ML, Blockchain, etc.
5. Help sales with closing opportunities in innovation engagements for banking and financial services clients.
6. Must be comfortable to travel domestic in North America and international (as needed) for key client meetings and events.

Requirements:

1. Conversant knowledge in domain areas of banking and financial services with a keen interest and ability to learn up specific topics on the job.
2. Client facing experience at large financial institutions engaging with business stakeholders such as bankers, advisors, traders, brokers, underwriters, operations, etc.
3. 7-12 years of experience working for financial institutions, FinTech, or IT services with a focus on banking and financial services.
4. Degree in Technology and/or Finance, advanced degree/certifications in finance. MBA from top-tier schools preferred.
5. Experience in building software and solution architecture is highly preferred.
