Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Divisional Business Information Security Officer (BISO) to align cybersecurity with business operations across the division. The role serves as a trusted advisor, facilitating risk-informed decisions and promoting a security culture within CBRE.

The BISO will coordinate with the Global BISO, Cyber Incident Response, SOC, and Client Assurance teams to reduce risk and enable business success while ensuring regulatory and contractual compliance."

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years working in technology or technology-adjacent field.
• 3-5 years working in or with cyber domains (e.g., security ops, security engineering, network security, IAM).
• 1-3 years working in or with a risk management domain (e.g., technology risk, cybersecurity risk).
• Certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, or Cloud Security Practitioner are a plus.
• Familiarity with ISO27001, NIST CSF, NIST 800-171 and GDPR or similar regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide liaison between cybersecurity and the business and between cybersecurity and technology teams.
• Deliver regular briefings to divisional leadership on security posture and risk.
• Drive adoption of cybersecurity controls and remediation plans.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity Office, Incident Response, SOC, and Client Assurance teams.
• Translate policies into actionable plans for the division and drive policy adherence.
• Assist with risk analysis, threat identification, and mitigations tailored to the business.
