Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking a senior Business Information Security Officer (BISO) to serve as a trusted cybersecurity advisor to assigned divisions. The role entails translating cybersecurity concepts for business leaders and guiding risk decisions across services and platforms to strengthen the program.

The BISO will provide strategic and tactical leadership, work closely with senior management and external partners, and ensure cybersecurity is integrated into business

Qualifications

• 9+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree in a related field; 7 years with a master’s; 4 years with a PhD or JD; or 13 years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• One or more cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA).
• At least 3 years of experience working with business leadership and enterprise projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide cybersecurity leadership and guidance to business units.
• Communicate cybersecurity risks and remediation options to senior management.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to embed cybersecurity into business processes.
• Support enterprise cybersecurity program with strategic and tactical input.
• Drive secure growth, operational resilience, and regulatory compliance.
