TDC Specialty is seeking a Business Development Support Specialist to join its Business Development team and contribute to the execution of growth, broker engagement, and market development initiatives across the organization.

This role is designed for a highly organized, motivated professional who is interested in developing experience within specialty insurance and business development. This individual will help coordinate broker and client initiatives, maintain business development intelligence, support market and prospect research, execute events and conferences, and drive follow-through on key departmental priorities.

The role offers meaningful exposure to leadership, underwriting teams, broker partners, industry organizations, and multiple healthcare specialty insurance segments, with opportunities to develop a strong understanding of TDC Specialty’s business, markets, and growth strategies.

Responsibilities

Working collaboratively within the Business Development team and across TDC Specialty organization, the Business Development Operations Coordinator is expected to:

  • Support the execution of business development strategies and initiatives, including broker engagement, market expansion, prospect development, conferences, educational programs, and targeted outreach efforts.
  • Maintain and analyze business development reports, contact lists, CRM records, pipeline trackers, broker activity reports, and other operational tools with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail to support decision making
  • Coordinate with Business Development and underwriting teams to prepare for strategic broker meetings by developing agendas, assembling relevant account and relationship information, preparing presentation materials, and tracking results, opportunities and action items to ensure timely execution.
  • Maintain and analyze business development reports, contact lists, CRM records, pipeline trackers, broker activity reports, and other operational tools with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail to support decision making
  • Assist in planning conference and event strategy and execution, including researching markets, restaurants, venues, and event locations; coordinating registrations, travel, and logistics; developing targeted attendee and broker lists; organizing meeting schedules; and managing post-event outreach and follow-up.
  • Provide day-to-day support to the SVP, Business Development and the business development team, including calendar coordination, meeting scheduling, travel arrangements, expense support, and preparation of correspondence.
  • Communicate professionally with internal partners and external contacts, including brokers, vendors, and industry organizations, to support business development initiatives and scheduling needs.
  • Conduct basic market and prospect research, compile information for leadership review, and help organize insights that support outreach and business development planning.
  • Monitor deadlines, keep projects and deliverables organized, and follow through on routine action items to help the team stay on track.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment by supporting special projects and assisting with additional administrative or operational needs as assigned.
  • Support CRM quality and adoption by maintaining accurate broker, prospect, meeting, and opportunity information and helping ensure business development activity is consistently captured.
  • Manage files, organize shared materials, and help maintain efficient administrative and operational workflows for the department.
  • Develop familiarity with TDC Specialty’s products, target markets, broker partners, and competitive landscape to become an increasingly knowledgeable contributor to business development initiatives.

TDC Specialty is seeking candidates with a desire to contribute to a collaborative, motivated and professionally ambitious work environment.
