This individual will be a strategic hunter—identifying, shaping, and pursuing new opportunities within the federal marketplace, with a strong emphasis on DoD, DHS, and Intelligence Community sectors.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute targeted growth strategies aligned with Mission One’s core capabilities and federal priorities.
Identify and qualify new business opportunities through market research, relationship building, and competitive intelligence.
Lead capture efforts from opportunity identification through proposal development, partnering closely with leadership.
Build and maintain strong relationships with government customers, primes, and teaming partners.
Support proposal strategy, solution shaping, and pricing strategies in collaboration with internal SMEs.
Monitor and track relevant contracting vehicles (e.g., SAM.gov, GWACs, IDIQs, OTAs) to ensure strategic positioning.
Represent Mission One at industry events, conferences, and networking engagements to expand visibility and brand equity.
Contribute to pipeline development, forecasting, and CRM tracking to enable data-driven decision-making.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of business development, capture management, or proposal experience within the defense or federal contracting ecosystem.
Demonstrated track record of identifying, qualifying, and winning new business.
Strong understanding of federal acquisition processes and government contracting.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
Existing relationships within DoD, DHS, or Intelligence Community.

Prior experience supporting proposal development (technical or pricing).
Active security clearance or ability to obtain one.
Familiarity with federal contracting platforms such as SAM.gov, GovWin, or FPDS.
