Position Overview

The ideal Business Development Representative will collaborate with sales and marketing to discover, develop, and deliver qualified prospects, setting meetings for the Account Executive Team. This role involves managing targeted plans around IT security topics and events to grow business opportunities. The candidate should understand client goals, concerns, and the available technology partners and products. This position is remote/virtual with limited regional travel in the Maryland area and offers growth opportunities into a sales role.

Roles and Responsibilities
  1. Develop targeted outreach plans with Account Executives and BDR team, including prospect/customer lists, OEM focus, messaging, and strategies to increase business opportunities.
  2. Regularly sync with Account Executives to update on outreach efforts, successes, and areas for improvement.
  3. Follow-up, qualify, engage, and manage leads via Salesforce.com and Marketo.
  4. Learn OEM technologies and articulate their value propositions to clients.
  5. Assist marketing in driving attendance to GuidePoint events and activities.
  6. Represent GuidePoint to clients, articulating our areas of expertise.
  7. Create email and call scripts for outreach, including targeted messaging, registration links, and OEM info.
  8. Take notes during prospect meetings and record them in Salesforce.com to track prospects' wants and needs.
  9. Present metrics on successes and ROI of business development efforts to leadership.
