This range is provided by DOOR. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist | 🚪 Unlocking Top Talent for the Smart Building Revolution
  • Base salary: $40,000–$50,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • OTE: $70,000+ (uncapped) and a clear path to higher earning potential as you grow within the sales organization

What is the purpose of this role?

The purpose of this role is to be the first point of contact for prospective customers, creating a positive and professional impression of DOOR while uncovering needs, qualifying interest, and ensuring smooth handoffs to Account Executives. By combining proactive outreach, quick inbound response, and strong collaboration with Sales and Marketing, the role builds a reliable pipeline and contributes to overall revenue growth.

What is the role?

As a BDR, you will generate qualified opportunities for our Account Executives. You will prospect into property managers, owners, and operators, start thoughtful conversations, and connect their needs to DOOR’s outcomes. This is a launch point for a sales career with hands-on training, mentorship, and clear advancement paths.

Who is DOOR?

DOOR (formerly Latch) is unlocking the next era of Building Intelligence. We combine premium hardware, intuitive software, and automated operations into one seamless platform—helping multifamily properties run more efficiently, grow revenue, and deliver smarter, more connected living experiences. From smart access and in-unit automation to building-wide controls, DOOR empowers owners, operators, and property teams to reduce overhead, protect asset value, and stand out in a competitive market.

We believe smarter buildings make life simpler. At DOOR, you’ll help shape a future where buildings anticipate needs, operate effortlessly, and quietly improve life for everyone inside.

What will you do?

  • Outbound prospecting: Identify and research target accounts in our ICP and reach the right stakeholders.
  • High-quality outreach: Run daily call blocks and send concise, relevant emails and LinkedIn touches. Activity matters, quality is essential.
  • Inbound assist and SLAs: Help cover inbound leads with quick response during business hours, and next-business-day follow-up for after-hours submissions.
  • Discovery and qualification: Ask smart questions, confirm fit, and capture buying roles and decision criteria.
  • Book meetings that hold: Set qualified meetings for AEs and deliver clean, useful handoffs.
  • Educate and add value: Share short, helpful context about industry challenges and how DOOR helps teams work smarter.
  • CRM discipline: Log clear notes, next steps, and required fields in Salesforce to support accurate reporting.
  • Collaborate: Partner with AEs and Marketing on messaging, campaigns, and feedback loops.

What success looks like

  • Speed to lead: Same business-day touch on inbound, with a clear next step documented.
  • Meetings held, not just set: Consistent show rates with agendas and stakeholders confirmed.
  • AE acceptance: Handoffs that AEs accept because context, objectives, and next steps are clear.
  • Data hygiene: Complete Salesforce notes and fields that make reporting reliable.
  • Professional presence: Warm, confident phone and email style that reflects DOOR’s premium brand.

What do you bring to DOOR?

  • Motivation and grit: Competitive, eager to learn, and persistent with a positive attitude.
  • Communication: Clear, confident phone presence and strong writing.
  • Curiosity and coachability: Open to feedback and fast to apply it.
  • Organization: Able to manage daily activity, follow-ups, and priorities without dropping details.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable with change and quick to adopt new approaches.

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of professional experience; internships, customer service, or sales experience are a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools preferred; Salesforce is a plus.
  • Exposure to dialer or telephony tools such as RingCentral is helpful.
  • Interest in PropTech, SaaS, or real estate technology is highly valued.

DOOR understands that job requirements sometimes exclude people who identify with historically marginalized groups from applying to jobs for which they are qualified. Even if you don’t meet 100% of the requirements listed, or if you achieved these requirements through unconventional channels, we encourage you to apply.

What is required (travel & physical requirements)?

  • This role will be mostly on-site (4 days a week in office)

To ensure every team member feels valued, we provide competitive compensation packages that reflect your skills and contributions. We offer a comprehensive suite of benefits such as employer-sponsored health, dental, vision and life options, and generous PTO, and an all-of-you, inclusive approach to benefits:
