BrightStar Care of Lafayette is hiring a motivated Business Development Representative to grow our home care, private duty, skilled nursing, and healthcare staffing services in Lafayette, IN.
This healthcare sales role is ideal for someone who enjoys prospecting, developing referral relationships, and turning opportunities into new business.
Your success will be measured by new referral sources, qualified leads, client growth, and revenue.
Your Sales Responsibilities
- Identify new opportunities with physicians, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and senior living communities.
- Conduct outreach through in-person visits, calls, presentations, and follow-up.
- Grow existing accounts and reconnect with inactive referral sources.
- Develop and execute a territory sales and marketing plan.
- Meet established goals for sales activity, referrals, new clients, and revenue.
- Explain available services to healthcare professionals, clients, and families.
- Ask for the business and guide prospects through the next steps.
- Coordinate referrals with clinical and operations teams.
- Align new business with available staffing and service capabilities.
- Help coordinate medication management, infusion, and wound care referrals.
- Attend chamber meetings, networking groups, and community events.
- Track contacts, sales activities, opportunities, and outcomes in the CRM.
- Share market insights and recommend ways to reach new referral sources.
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated results as a Business Development Representative or in sales, lead generation, or territory management
- Ability to build relationships, follow up consistently, and close business
- At least one year of home healthcare industry experience preferred
- Strong presentation, public speaking, and writing skills
- Confidence speaking with healthcare professionals, clients, and families
- Strong organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Comfort using CRM systems to track activity and results
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with clinical and office teams
- Availability for in-person sales visits and community events in Lafayette, IN
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
- Professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to serving the community
