Job Summary
Are you a solutions-based sales professional focused on building long-term relationships? CrossCountry Freight Solutions seeks a Business Development Representative to join our results-driven sales team. The role involves pursuing new sales opportunities, maintaining current accounts, and providing freight solutions to achieve prosperity. Develops and implements sales programs to improve services, meet sales goals, and increase profitability, while assisting in sales and marketing objectives.
Essential Job Duties
- Identify leads, call on prospective customers, and manage partnerships within assigned territory to meet sales targets.
- Gain the trust of customer decision-makers by applying logistics expertise to solve transportation challenges.
- Develop mutually beneficial relationships with customers, including multiple points of contact.
- Learn the customer’s business, transportation needs, and selection process; serve as an expert advisor.
- Effectively communicate CCFS’ value propositions to existing and prospective customers.
- Close new deals by developing and negotiating contracts and coordinating with operations.
- Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure needs are met and collaborate with operations.
- Address customer issues and opportunities with relevant team members.
- Conduct annual contract reviews and negotiate implementations.
- Use CCFS tools, analyze data, and track sales activity to manage territory efficiently.
- Utilize Salesforce for daily activities, managing pipelines, and sharing information.
- Share strategies and opportunities with sales team members and departments.
- Communicate market conditions and customer insights across relevant functions.
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years of sales or relevant industry experience
- Self-motivated and results-oriented
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills
- High emotional and cognitive intelligence
- Strong understanding of markets, contracts, pricing, infrastructure, and industry behavior
