The role of a Business Development Representative at Canonical

We consider our sales development organization to be the best technology sales academy in the market. We select exceptional, ambitious candidates who are organized, persistent, charismatic, and hardworking, with an interest in tech and business implications. You will work with regional sales and marketing teams to find customer projects aligned with our products and promote Canonical across industries and geographies.

The role entails
  • Execute outbound sales & marketing campaigns
  • Research prospective customers and market trends
  • Generate high-quality leads for Senior Sellers to build a pipeline
  • Own and close SMB opportunities within your territory
  • Collaborate across teams and stakeholders to drive results
  • Help define team processes and policies
  • Travel to events and conferences worldwide, representing Canonical in person

  • Proven success in SDR or outbound sales, exceeding quotas and growing pipelines
  • Experience engaging with senior executives to identify opportunities
  • Experience in enterprise software or tech sales
