What You Will Be Doing
- Confidently articulate features and benefits to sell consumer accounts, financial services and loans including home equity products.
- Ability to communicate, develop and manage relationships with centers of influence, event organizers, corporate executives, and small business decision makers.
- Partner with private employers to promote the credit union’s various portfolio of products and services
- Attend networking events that help build new relationships with decision makers in the Long Island business community.
- Conduct educational seminars for the credit union SEG employees in coordination with Community Development and other Business Development team members.
- Assist Business Development sales team with setting up community and employer-based presentations, as needed.
- Regularly monitor department activities and assigned team goals, providing updates to senior management and marketing area, as needed.
- Collaborate with marketing department to publicize partnerships and events through social media.
- Take ownership of member complaints to promptly and effectively resolve any account servicing issues, utilizing appropriate systems to log contact and provide member feedback.
- Handle member phone calls regarding product or service inquires, specific account information or account problems within his/her expertise, policies and procedures.
- Identify large scale marketing events that provide brand recognition and drive new business to the credit union
What We Need From You- Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years’ sales experience preferably in a financial institution. Additional work experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Proficient knowledge in consumer and business deposit and loan products
- Be flexible with work hours and, depending on work volume and or special projects/assignments, extend hours necessary to get the job done.
- Registered as a NMLS representative
- Bi-Lingual (Spanish Speaking Preferred).
- Experience and track record of proven success in:
- Following up with sales leads
- Attending community events
- Ability to influence others
- Public speaking & conducting presentations.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Proven record of reliability, dependability, and flexibility.
- Detail oriented & organized.
- Results oriented, self- starter with consistent performance in achievement of sales, service and quality goals
Work From Home and Hybrid Requirements: This particular position is Hybrid and requires in-office / plus work from home days to our offices in Uniondale, New York:
- Internet speed of 100 mbps or higher required (you can test this by going to www.speedtest.net).
- Able to dedicate a quiet space for daily work that is free of sound interruptions.
- All equipment will be provided by Jovia (Computer, Monitor, Headset)
