Job summary

The Federal Group USA is seeking a results-driven Business Development professional to expand our client base across North America. You will build relationships, generate leads, and drive strategic opportunities by understanding client needs and offering metal manufacturing solutions.

You’ll travel to meet prospects and clients, present proposals, and coordinate with Engineering and Purchasing to move projects forward.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management.
  • Strong lead generation and outbound prospecting experience.
  • Experience using CRM and prospecting tools such as Monday.com, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar platforms.
  • Strong relationship building, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable meeting with purchasing managers, engineers, executives, and other decision makers.
  • Ability to understand client needs and communicate effectively with engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Strong organizational and follow up skills.
  • Willingness to travel throughout North America for client and prospect meetings.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree.
  • Fluent in English and authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Generate new leads through outbound prospecting, lead generation tools, research, referrals, and other channels.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of qualified prospects and new business opportunities.
  • Visit current clients and new prospects throughout North America to learn about their businesses, products, purchasing needs, and challenges.
  • Build and maintain long term relationships with clients and identify opportunities for additional business.
  • Nurture inbound leads and move qualified opportunities through the sales process.
  • Conduct client meetings and presentations, including walking clients through proposals and manufacturing solutions.
  • Learn each client's products, purchasing patterns, and order history to anticipate future opportunities.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Sourcing, and Purchasing to develop solutions and move client projects forward.
  • Coordinate internally to ensure client orders and projects remain on schedule.
  • Review proposals, inspection documentation, and other client facing materials for accuracy.
  • Maintain complete and accurate client and opportunity information in the CRM.
  • Respond to client and prospect inquiries within two hours during business hours.
  • Escalate client issues and high priority requests to management.
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of metal manufacturing processes, materials, and applications.
  • Contribute to the company's annual sales growth objectives.
  • Complete ongoing sales and manufacturing training

Business Development – Metal Manufacturing

This is a relationship driven business development role focused on getting to know our clients and finding new opportunities to grow the business. You'll spend time visiting current clients and new prospects throughout North America, learning about their businesses, products, purchasing needs, and challenges, and identifying where The Federal Group can help.

You'll also be responsible for actively generating new leads through prospecting tools, research, outreach, and other channels. This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys meeting people, building relationships, developing their own pipeline, and turning conversations into new business.

What You'll Do
