Job Description

If you are a Business Development professional looking for growth, Emerson offers an exciting opportunity in Houston, Texas, Chanhassen, Minnesota, or Boulder, Colorado. You will drive customer orders for our Synchros / IIOT product devices in the U.S., owning sales targets for the Rosemount Temperature Synchros Monitor and Rosemount Pressure Gauges. Your goal is to meet or exceed sales objectives, laying a foundation for the broader Synchros platform, including future capabilities like Cellular communications and new sensors.

Your Responsibilities:
  1. Opportunity Identification and Creation: Lead, prioritize, and drive sales opportunities with Pervasive Sensing BDMs, Regional Managers, and Field Sales. Collaborate to close prospective sales, achieve sales goals, develop regional sales strategies, and pursue projects.
  2. Customer Engagement: Manage account planning to expand the customer base, develop penetration plans, visit key clients, facilitate product trials, and coordinate pricing strategies.
  3. Product Expertise: Develop industry and application knowledge, create value propositions, and support marketing efforts with sales successes.
  4. Demonstrations and Demand Generation: Lead activities like trade shows and customer events to generate demand.
  5. Collaboration and Feedback: Provide expertise to sales teams, share customer feedback with global product teams, and stay informed on market and competitive insights.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical field.
  • Seven years of industry experience, including at least four in sales or marketing.
  • Willingness to travel domestically at least 50%.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior business development experience.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Experience in measurement or instrumentation is a plus.
