Job summary

Eurofins is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in the South territory across the United States. The role targets pharmaceutical services with a focus on bio/pharma testing, including engaging key accounts and expanding new business in R&D and manufacturing sectors.

Candidates should have a life sciences or business degree, 2+ years in bio/pharma sales or project management, and be willing to travel ~40% of the time.

Qualifications

• At least two years bio/pharma sales or project management in contract services.
• Ability to travel at least 40% of the time.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Achieve/exceed annual revenue target for the South territory by expanding existing accounts and prospecting new ones in R&D and manufacturing.
• Territory covers NC, SC, FL, TX, GA, AL, TN, MS, AR, LA, OK, NM and AZ.
• Generate new business in the small molecule sector aligned with market focus and lab capacity.
• Identify and secure opportunities through in-person meetings and virtual presentations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to advance opportunities.
• Mentor Inside BD teammates using your experience.

Job Description

• Achieve/exceed annual revenue target for the South territory by leveraging relationships to further penetrate existing accounts and prospecting for new accounts in the research and development and manufacturing markets
• Territory includes North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Arizona
• Generate new business in the small molecule sector consistent with our market focus, operational capabilities, and laboratory capacity
• Identify and secure opportunities through face to face meetings and virtual presentations
• Work effectively across the organization to advance opportunities
• Use experience to mentor colleagues on the Inside Business Development team

Qualifications

• Experience selling for a service company in the pharmaceutical sector – CDMO, CRO, or CTO
• Recent experience executing field travel and in person client meetings
• Strong scientific acumen and capacity to learn new technical information
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and positive attitude

Basic Minimum Qualifications

• Based in territory
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in life sciences or business administration
• At least two years bio/pharmaceutical sales or project management, in the contract services sector of the bio/pharmaceutical industry and/or testing services
• Ability to travel at least 40% of the time
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
