Essential Duties and Responsibilities
WHAT TO EXPECT

As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward-thinking, open-minded, and well-rounded individuals to join our North America team. Located remotely from your home office, the Senior Business Development Manager, Rental Markets, Americas will be part of the Americas Commercial team reporting to the Vice President, Commercial, Americas. This role is responsible for developing profitable and sustainable sales growth for the Rental Market through OEM and end-user markets within the region. Additionally, it involves aligning local sales and marketing strategies with business objectives. The Senior Business Development Manager will coordinate sales efforts across the entire Power Transmission and Fluid Power products portfolio.

  • Leverage your expertise in the Rental Market segment within the United States, including understanding its technical process needs and challenges, to develop and drive growth strategies.
  • Create and execute business plans aligned with the Americas Strategic Plan and budget targets for revenue and costs.
  • Understand and communicate Rental Market architecture & applications related to Gates products and OEMs.
  • Understand industry dynamics, decision-making processes, and key decision makers.
  • Identify and map key players in the decision-making chain.
  • Stay informed on technology trends and shifts affecting industry requirements.
  • Identify industry standards and requirements for development, qualifications, and testing.
  • Identify opportunities related to new product and technology development.
  • Drive marketing efforts and market awareness for Gates Fluid Power and Power Transmission portfolio.
  • Work with technical sales, application engineers, and account management to develop project pipelines and sales strategies.
  • Develop go-to-market plans for applicable product lines, focusing on Rental Market.
  • Create a product content roadmap to support business development and lead generation.
  • Maintain critical market intelligence regarding Rental Market segments.
  • Research and analyze market size, segments, drivers, applications, channels, industry trends, competitors, perform SWOT analysis, etc.
  • Monitor competitor performance and identify growth opportunities or threats.
  • Build and lead a team of application engineers.

Requirements and Preferred Skills
ABOUT YOU
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or Marketing.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in business development or account sales within the rental market.
  • Background with Rental Market infrastructure.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
PAY & BENEFITS
  • Full-Time
  • Salary + SIP Eligible
