Brief Job Overview

This is a sales professional manager level position responsible for establishing, managing, and executing sales activities. This includes building and managing a pipeline of prospects, generating revenue from new and existing customers, and supporting distributor relationships. The role requires working closely with Marketing and Development teams to execute strategies to accelerate market adoption, increase customer base, and meet revenue targets. The incumbent will also report on results regularly and take necessary actions to overcome challenges.

Remote work eligibility: Reside in MD, VA, DC, PA, WV, CA, MI, IL, KS, FL, NC, or MN.

Impact and Responsibilities

  • Achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Manage a territory covering the U.S. East Coast.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of leads in pharma, biopharma, and compounding pharmacies through outbound prospecting.
  • Convert leads into orders and revenue.
  • Develop and execute account plans to meet revenue goals.
  • Maintain relationships with key accounts for long-term growth.
  • Support and develop distributor and partner networks.
  • Participate in conferences and events to network, generate leads, and present USP solutions.
  • Provide technical support, training, and product demonstrations as needed.
  • Collaborate with marketing to support product adoption and revenue growth strategies.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
  • Review business and sales performance periodically.
  • Gather market intelligence and monitor customer satisfaction.
  • Support budget planning and revenue forecasting.
  • Maintain CRM data accuracy (Salesforce).
  • Travel up to 30% domestically.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 5-7 years of sales or business development experience in the North American life sciences industry.
  • Proven success in sales growth and revenue generation.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM software (preferably Salesforce) and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or related field.
  • Additional experience in Pharma/Lifesciences with an MBA is a plus.
  • 3+ years of sales in QA/QC, Biosafety Testing, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of regulatory, GMP, or quality assurance processes.

Additional Information
