Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Energy Division is seeking an experienced sales professional for the role of Business Development Manager I (Remote). This position involves leading business development efforts for Wildlife and Asset Protection (WAP) solutions, targeting utility, industrial, and OEM markets across the USA and Canada. The role requires customer interaction, technical field visits, and independent problem-solving to convert opportunities into revenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Brand building and market recognition within target segments.
  • Educating and training sales and channel partners.
  • Market segmentation and developing partnerships with utilities, industrial verticals, electrical contractors, and distributors.
  • Customer takeoffs, value propositions, technical proposals, and product demonstrations.
  • Monitoring competition and developing strategies aligned with global and segment-specific WAP strategies.
  • Coordination with regional teams and market sizing, forecasting, and new product development.
Qualifications

Mandatory: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred: 8+ years in sales/marketing in the energy sector, knowledge of substation and overhead distribution, and willingness to travel 50%.

Competencies
  • Technical engineering skills for designing WAP solutions.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Teams, SFDC.
Additional Information
