The Business Development Manager – Compact Mobile Valves will support market infiltration goals and growth efforts of the Sales Department through business-to-business selling campaigns and applying leadership to one direct report. This role also collaborates and supports Regional Sales Managers and Territory Sales Reps. We are seeking candidates with knowledge of cartridge valve/manifold technology specifically. The ideal candidate must have an entrepreneurial spirit, be results oriented, self-motivated and have a strong ability to build rapport and problem solve. Candidates with a demonstrated ability to set and achieve goals are encouraged to apply .

Work location: Remote; Home Office
Position Classification: Full Time
Travel: 30-50% per month in US.

What You Will Do:
Daily duties of the role include but are not limited to –- Define, develop and support compact mobile valve initiatives in the US and within target markets.
- Markets (in co-operation with the Territory and Regional Sales team)
- Make product recommendations for customer applications.
- Prepare and deliver commercial and technical product presentations.
- Develop and provides training to salesforce and external customers.
- Collaborate with the marketing department to launch new products.
- Actively join customer visits to promote new product and sales initiatives.
- Maintain continual knowledge of competitive products and services.
- Collect and consolidate product requirements for the product management and R&D teams.
- Develop customer/territory targets, sales targets, sales strategies, and forecasts.
- Willingness to travel (N. America primarily with limited global.)
- Manage and direct 1 direct report who is focused on select markets within compact valves.
What You Will Need:A qualified candidate must possess the ability to–
- Read and understand hydraulic circuitry
- Leverage company information and technology to optimize selling potential
- Plan, organize, and manage the territory efficiently
- Communicate successfully in verbal and written formats
- Network effectively to identify potential leads
- Possess effective problem solving and organizational skills
- Utilize contact management software to manage customer information
- Two-year Technical Degree and Fluid Power certification or ability to obtain certification within 1 year
- Legal authorization to work in U.S. without company sponsorship
- Ability to travel frequently by airplane to meet with customers and partners
What We Would Prefer:- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Sales or related field from an accredited institution
- Experience in Mobile Hydraulics
- Prior successful sales experience in the identified territory
