MEDZOWN-Precision Medicine & Care Navigation
Title: Busiess Development Manager —Clinical Trial Partnerships
Clinical Trial Partnerships | Full-Time
About the Role
Medzown is looking for a relationship-driven, entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to expand our network of Clinical Trial Partnerhsips. This role is central to Medzown's mission of connecting patients with precision medicine and clinical trial opportunities — you'll be the face of Medzown to the clinical trials ecosystem, opening doors, building trust, and turning conversations into lasting partnerships that bring relationships to Medzown.
We're looking for someone who thinks like a partner, not a vendor — creative in how they open relationships, disciplined in how they manage them, and hands-on enough to help stand up the operational side of a partnership once the deal is signed.
What You'll Do
Business Development & Relationship Building
- Identify, prospect, and cultivate relationships with CROs, SMOs, research sites, and pharmaceutical sponsors to generate clinical trial opportunities for Medzown.
- Develop creative outreach and engagement strategies — conferences, industry associations, warm introductions, direct outreach — to build a strong, diversified partnership pipeline.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for partners, understanding their pipeline needs and positioning Medzown as a preferred partner.
- Represent Medzown at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events within the clinical research and precision medicine space.
Partnership & Deal Development
- Lead partnership conversations from first contact through agreement — including scoping, proposal development, and negotiation support.
- Collaborate with clinical operations, legal, and leadership to structure partnership terms that align incentives for all parties.
- Track and manage a pipeline of prospective partners and protocols, providing regular forecasts and pipeline reporting to leadership.
Implementation & Account Management
- Manage the operational handoff and implementation of new partnerships — ensuring protocols, referral workflows, and communication channels are properly set up.
- Act as an ongoing relationship owner post-signing, checking in regularly to strengthen the partnership and identify opportunities for expansion.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with patient navigators and precision medicine scientists to ensure smooth execution of trial referrals and protocol activities.
- Troubleshoot partnership issues proactively, escalating and resolving barriers to keep implementations on track.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sales within CROs, SMOs, clinical research sites, or pharmaceutical/biotech sponsors.
- Established network of relationships across the CRO, SMO, and pharma sponsor landscape — or a demonstrated ability to build one quickly.
- Working knowledge of the clinical trial lifecycle, site feasibility, patient recruitment, and protocol/referral processes.
- Track record of sourcing, negotiating, and closing partnership agreements.
- Strong project management skills — comfortable owning implementation details, not just the sale.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; polished and credible with clinical, scientific, and executive audiences.
- Self-starter who thrives with autonomy and is energized by building something from the ground up.
- Willingness to travel for conferences, site visits, and partner meetings.
Nice to Have
- Existing relationships with specific CROs, SMOs, or pharma sponsors that could translate into early wins for Medzown.
- Background in oncology, rare disease, or precision medicine therapeutic areas.
- Familiarity with CRM and pipeline management tools.
What Medzown Offers
- The opportunity to shape a growing precision medicine and care navigation company from an early stage.
- A mission-driven environment focused on connecting patients facing cancer, rare disease, and complex conditions with research-based options.
- Autonomy to build the partnership function — your fingerprints will be on the strategy, not just the execution.
- Competitive base salary plus performance-based incentives tied to partnerships and protocols secured.
