The Business Development Manager – CASE will be responsible for driving sales growth and executing the company’s business strategy within the CASE segment (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants & Elastomers) across the U.S. market.
The primary focus will be on developing sales of polyols, while also identifying and developing opportunities for other products within the PCC portfolio based on the candidate’s technical background, industry experience, and customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies for the CASE market in the United States.
- Identify and acquire new B2B customers and develop new business opportunities.
- Manage and grow existing customer relationships.
- Develop sales opportunities for polyols and other specialty chemical products.
- Identify new applications, market opportunities, and industry trends.
- Manage the complete sales process from initial customer contact and opportunity identification through product qualification and commercialization.
- Work closely with customers’ purchasing, technical, and R&D teams.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and contracts.
- Achieve established sales, volume, and profitability targets.
- Maintain and actively manage the sales pipeline.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and regular activity reports.
- Work closely with R&D, Technical Support, Product Management, Customer Service, Logistics, Purchasing, and Marketing.
- Provide market feedback and recommend new product development based on customer and market needs.
- Monitor competitors, market pricing, and industry developments.
- Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows, conferences, and other industry events.
- Coordinate technical discussions between customers and PCC's technical and manufacturing teams.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Science, Business, or a related field preferred.
- A strong technical background combined with relevant commercial experience will also be considered.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of B2B sales or business development experience in the chemical industry.
- Experience within the CASE market strongly preferred.
- Experience with polyols, polyurethane systems, resins, or specialty chemicals is highly desirable.
- Established relationships within the U.S. CASE industry are a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated experience developing new business and acquiring new customers.
- Experience managing technical sales projects from initial opportunity through customer qualification and commercialization.
