Business Development Manager - Automotive Parts Manufacturer (34831)

A global automotive parts manufacturing company is looking for a motivated Business Development Manager in their Novi, MI location.

Base Pay Range: $90,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

1. Establish relations with new and previous customers
2. New business development with OEMs and Tier Suppliers
3. Promote electronics products and the company itself
4. Intelligently communicate with clients and suppliers
5. Travel to customer locations and prepare reports and compile data
6. Make presentations to and attend meetings with client managers and engineers
7. Understand specifications for products for customer design assistance
8. Responsible for price/contract negotiations
9. Create data, budgets, and reports regarding sales and marketing activity
10. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management

Business Development Manager Requirements:

1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering is preferred
2. Minimum 2 years of business development experience
3. Must be able to travel to customers as needed in North America
4. Must have excellent presentation skills
5. Experience working in a Japanese-related environment is a plus
6. Some engineering knowledge or technical support experience is a plus

Working Environment: This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
