Business Development Manager | Commercial General Contractor | DFW

I’m working with an established, commercial general contractor in Dallas-Fort Worth that are hiring for a Business Development Manager to cover the local DFW market.

The company busy. Most of its work comes from repeat clients and referrals, and ownership wants someone who can build on that and open new doors across the market.

This role reports directly to ownership. It suits someone who wants real autonomy and a direct line to the decision-makers, rather than being one of many in a large BD team.

The work

• Ground-up commercial construction, typically in the $5M–$15M range
• Smaller multifamily, municipal, city and K-12 school district projects
• Larger tenant improvement work
• DFW-focused, with opportunities pursued across Texas

What you’ll be doing

• Developing relationships with the existing client base and turning referrals into awarded work
• Building new relationships with developers, ownership groups, architects, cities and school districts
• Targeting relationship-driven ISD and municipal work in the markets around DFW
• Staying across the market every day and bringing opportunities to ownership early

What they’re looking for

• Business development or sales experience within construction. A GC background is welcome but not essential, and subcontractor or supplier BD backgrounds are a strong fit
• 2+ years in the construction industry, with enough knowledge to speak confidently about a contractor’s capabilities
• Established DFW relationships, ideally with architects, developers, municipalities or school districts
• A track record of work you’ve helped win, not just meetings you’ve had

On offer

$110,000 - $150,000 base salary + OTE bonuses
