Business Development Manager – South East (Remote)

Candidates must be based in the Southeastern United States

A leading industrial materials company is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth across the South East territory. With a legacy of over a century and a vision for innovation, the company is expanding its presence across core industries including foundry (aluminum and steel) and coatings (elastomers and adhesives), while continually exploring new markets for its carbon-based materials.

This is a high-impact, growth-focused role offering long-term advancement potential and a competitive compensation package.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute a regional business development strategy aligned with company goals and market needs
• Manage territory pricing and profitability in collaboration with internal teams
• Build and deepen customer relationships with a focus on long-term account value
• Identify, evaluate, and close new business opportunities across both core and emerging markets
• Represent the company at industry events, professional associations, and customer meetings
• Work closely with marketing and technical teams to support product development and go-to-market efforts
• Analyze industry trends, customer drivers, and competitor positioning to inform strategy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred
• 3–5 years of experience in B2B sales, account management, or business development
• Familiarity with carbon-based industrial minerals (graphite, coke) strongly preferred
• Experience in industrial processing or formulation applications is a strong plus
• Demonstrated track record of business development success
• Proactive, driven, and entrepreneurial mindset with a strong customer focus
• Willing and able to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory for client engagement
