- Location: Midwest Region (remote with up to 50% travel to clients)
- Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 base salary
- Commission: 10-15% of margins and expenses, based on achieving 30% gross margins
Job Description
Our client is a global leader in industrial coatings, printing, and custom polymer-based products, recognized for its innovative offerings and strong market presence. We are now looking to expand into the packaging market by leveraging our in-house intellectual property and adaptable product formulations.
We seek a dynamic and experienced Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, particularly within the packaging and/or corrugated manufacturing industries, with skills in developing new business, managing client relationships, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Business Development: Identify and pursue new opportunities within the packaging and corrugated manufacturing markets. Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Custom Product Development: Collaborate with our lab team to develop custom inks and coatings based on customer needs. Communicate technical specifications effectively to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Market Analysis and Strategy: Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities. Develop competitive pricing strategies and present market comparisons to clients.
- Brand Awareness: Implement strategies to enhance brand visibility in various markets, including tagging labels and graphic arts sectors.
- Client Engagement: Conduct property showings, open houses, and private viewings. Represent the company, run trials, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Work with appraisers, lenders, and inspectors to facilitate smooth transactions. Manage teams to streamline processes and close deals efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Industry Experience: 4-6 years of high-level sales experience, with at least 1-2 years in packaging or corrugated manufacturing.
- Technical Understanding: Knowledge of technical requirements for custom products. Ability to communicate effectively with lab teams and clients.
- Sales Skills: Proven success in sales and business development. Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Travel: Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time for client meetings and sales activities.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Commission: 10-15% of margins and expenses, based on achieving 30% gross margins
- Additional: Travel reimbursement for accommodations, gas, and client visits
